Our families are a critical part of our success as most of our clients rely heavily on a caretaker -- most often a parent or other devoted family member. Communication between Citizens Development Center’s staff and the client’s family is essential if we are to ensure an effective delivery of services. Additionally, our case managers meet quarterly with counselors from state and local referral agencies and the family to discuss progress and any special issues. We also hold quarterly family/caregiver meetings to celebrate our successes and to keep family members abreast of any issues of concern.
We realize and appreciate the sacrifices families make to provide the necessary support for their loved ones. Our services enable them to remain employed or to have respite from the day to day demands of caring for someone 24/7 with a severe disability.
